CT KINDERGARTEN ORGANISES GRADUATION CEREMONY

The sun on CT Kindergarten rose brightly with a happy and joyous note when the UKG classes were honoured with diplomas for graduating to the main school.

The mentors welcomed the students with rosebuds and good luck bands. The function was chaired by Mrs. Parminder Kaur Channi, Co-chairperson, CT Group of Institutions and Mrs.Tanika Channi. The function was marked with speeches, songs, dances and qawalis unfurling lots of emotions and love to the outgoing class.

The Chief Guest honoured the children with diplomas and gifts. The cake ceremony was organized to make the day memorable for the teachers as well as the students.

The Principal Mrs. Ranjana Rajput exhorted that Kindergarten graduation ceremonies help to enhance a sense of responsibility and discipline to enable them to take up greater tasks. She blessed the students and advised them to follow the path of righteousness

SEMINAR FOR TEACHERS AT CT PUBLIC SCHOOL

It is an interesting, exciting and challenging time in Indian education because of the number of significant reforms that have recently been introduced e.g. Continuous and Comprehensive Evaluation (CCE);Problem Solving Assessment; CBSE International curriculum development; the broadening of the requirements for tertiary entry to include Board-based examinations; and to move towards using performance standards to summarize achievements. All of these have a requirement of good assessment knowledge and all are moving to empower teachers in the teaching and learning process.  A seminar on Assessment Training Programme for Teachers with CAER was organized for four days starting from 21st February at CT Public School, Jalandhar under the aegis of Jalandhar Independent Schools Sahodaya Complex. The teachers hailing from various CBSE schools attended this programme in which the teachers were enlightened with assessments methods in various subjects. Dr. Manoj Kumar, Group Director, CT Group of Institutions addressed the gathering saying that we should go for the sake of the child towards the betterment of his future. Mrs. Vibha Sharda (Chairman, Jalandhar Independent Schools Sahodaya Complex) was also present on the occasion. The seminar was divided into two modules in which insight into the construction of multiple choice questions and quality constructed response to assess the scholastic skills of the curriculum was given. The key takeaways in the training programme were understanding of the Modern Theory of Assessment like Higher Order Thinking Skills, analyzing and critiquing samples of MCI’s in various subjects, guidelines for applying principles of writing MCI’s and constructing, administering and evaluating quality questions and performance tasks. The Principal of the school, Mrs. Ranjana Rajput exhorted the need of the teachers to remain updated and adept with the innovative methods in the teaching profession.

FAREWELL ADIEU - TO OUTGOING STUDENTS

Farewell Party was organized for XII Science and Commerce stream, who are going to scale their Board Examination in the premises of CT Public School, Jalandhar. This auspicious occasion was presided over by Chairman, CT Institutions S. Charanjit Singh Channi, Co- chairperson Mrs. Parminder Kaur Channi,  Mrs. Tanika Channi and Principal Mrs. Ranjana Rajput.

The stage was wonderfully performed by Mrs. Vandana Kamboj. She welcomed the guests and the students for their benign-presence. Students from XI gave scintillating performances and enthralled the audience. Dance and Modelling were the main attractions of the day. Modelling on the ramp by the outgoing students was appreciated and applauded by all and sundry. 

 

A panel of jury comprising bench of three judges, gave their jurisdiction. The judges adjudged Miss. Loveleen Bajaj from Science stream as Miss CTPS, 2014 and the dashing and handsome personality Shivam Verma hailing from commerce as Mister CTPS.

Thereafter, the Head Boy of the school, in his vote of thanks, thanked the Principal Mrs. Ranjana Rajput for her unstinting support, guidance, love and affection which she showered on there, from time to time. He also thanked the senior Teaching faculty for their hard toil and endeavours which they had put in, around the year, and mould them to face the upcoming challenges in their life. 

 

The Chairman of the school, S. Charanjit Singh Channi, Co-chairperson Mrs. Parminder Kaur Channi gave mementos and bestowed their blessings on the outgoing students and wished them luck for their Board Examinations and all success in their coming life. 

 

The curtain of the function was let down with dance and music. The students rocked the stage by dancing and making merriments. Fun and frolic prevailed in the atmosphere. Obviously, it was a memorable day for the outgoing students of CTPS, who are going to be good doctors, engineers, successful businessmen & nation builders.

WINNERS OF LPU T-20 INVITATIONAL SCHOOL CRICKET TOURNAMENT

Final matches for LPUT-20 Invitational School Cricket Tournament 2014 were played at Sports Stadium of  Lovely Professional University. Our cricket team brought laurels to the school by lifting Overall Trophy. Jasbir Singh of Class X was declared ‘Man of the Series’; whereas, Chirag, Akshit & Ashish stood man of the final and two semi final matches. LPU Chancellor Mr Ashok Mittal awarded our cricket team with cash prizes of Rs 30,000.Principal of the school, Mrs. Ranjana Rajput congratulate the team for their achievement.

Christmas Celebrations

 The chill of the winter brought warmth in the premises of CT Public School with Christmas round the corner.

The whole campus wore the Christmas colours of red, silver and green to welcome the birth of Jesus Christ who had come to relieve the world from misery. Christmas was celebrated in the CT Kindergarten in order to inculcate the qualities of understanding, sharing, tolerance and brotherhood amidst great pomp and fervour.

A beautiful Christmas tree was decorated with bells, stars, stockings and gifts. Santa Claus came riding on his sleigh and gave gifts and sweets to the tiny tots. The children were very excited to see him.

All the children sang Christmas Carols and danced to the tune of “Jingle Bells”. The teachers wore Santa caps and distributed sweets to the students. Mrs. Parminder Kaur Channi was the Chief Guest on the occasion. The Principal of the school Mrs. Ranjana Rajput wished Merry Christmas to one and all and said, “Celebration of festivals is also a learning process for the young minds. We must inculcate good values preached by Almighty Jesus Christ”.

Birthday Celebrations of Hostlers

 Boarders, who are staying away from home, miss their families a lot. In order to remove their homesickness, CT hostel tries to create a congenial atmosphere for them to provide homely feelings. Birthdays celebrated in CT Hostel become living memories which are always treasured by the boarders all their lives. In the month of December CT Hostlers celebrated the birthday of all the students who had their birthdays in the month of November and December. There was a get-together in which Boarders cut the birthday cake and enjoyed a lavish dinner. The Co – Chairperson of CT Group of Institutions   Mrs. Parminder Kaur Channi was the Chief Guest on the occasion. She spent a wonderful evening with the boarders who sang songs and danced and played many games. The Principal of the school Mrs. Ranjana Rajput congratulated the birthday children and blessed them.

CT Public School hosts CT Carnival

A fiesta of colour, fun and frolic was witnessed at the vivacious carnival organized by CT Public School. S. Charanjit Singh Channi, Chairman, CT Group of Institutions inaugurated the glittering programme of the day.

It was a day of merriment and jubilation for the residents of Jalandhar who thronged the campus for a day when they could take a plunge in their childhood days and pamper their taste buds with various cuisines and take joy rides on giant wheels and horses.

 Apart from this, a Baby show was also organized for the infants and toddlers who enthralled the audience with their comely tactics and pranks. Exhibits of various artistic items prepared by the students of the Art Mela were displayed and were a great attraction for the youngsters.

There were many interesting shows for the families like modelling, quiz and games. Different stalls like Lucky Tree, Hoopla, Hit the Pyramid, Lucky Dip etc. were put up to gratify the people. It was a joyous experience for all age groups who relished every moment of the carnival.

The Chief Guest S. Charanjit Singh Channi distributed the prizes and certificates to the winners.

ANNUAL PRIZE DISTRIBUTION FUNCTION

CT Public School celebrated  Annual Function at Sardarni Manjit Kaur Auditorium Shahpur with great pomp and show highlighting the theme “Save Us from Extinction” that aimed at inspiring the society to develop a holistic and ecological approach towards our Mother Earth so as to preserve the natural resources from getting depleted and to meet the needs of the future generations. Dr. Pushkar Vohra, Joint Director Sports CBSE was the Chief Guest of the day.

On arrival to CT Campus the Chief Guest was escorted by CTPS School band students with full honour. The band took the Chief Guest to Auditorium where he witnessed the display of the slogans & the models based on the theme of extinction viz; sparrow extinction, tiger extinction, girls’ extinction, Indian music extinction where the scouts & guides honoured the Chief Guest & the other dignitaries with the formal salute. The interior decoration of the auditorium peculiarly based on the day gave a traditional hue to the whole auditorium.

The function started with lamp lighting ceremony by the Chief Guest, accompanied by the Chairman, CT Group of Institutions S. Charanjit Singh Channi, Co-chairperson Mrs. Parminder Kaur, Managing Director Mr. Manbir Singh, Vice Chairman, Mr. Harpreet, Dr. Manoj Kuma, Group Director & other dignitaries.  They were all given floral welcome by school authorities

This was followed by the recitation of the shabad “Tu kahe Dole Praniya Tud Rakhega Sirjanhar” by the music choir of the school. It was further followed by Bhakti Aradhna (Diya Vandana). Dr. Manoj Kumar, Group Director CT Group of Institutions extended the formal welcome to the Chief Guest with his impressive speech. Speechifying on the occasion he laid emphasis to save the natural resources & wildlife. He phrased it as “our moral duty” to procure the resources for the generations to come. 

The whole function revolved around the theme so the solutions were also projected & explained on the screen with the help of phrases just to create suspense amongst the audience. The following themes were shown;

  1. Save………..Trees (Contemporary dance)
  2. Save…………Tigers(Tribal dance)
  3. Save…………Ozone(Aerial Act)
  4. Save………….Culture (Folk dance)
  5. Save………….Girls(Punjabi dance)
  6. Hope………….to save us all  from Extinction(inspirational song) 

The Principal of the school, Mrs. Ranjana Rajput read out the Annual report of the session 2012-13 and made the parents aware of the achievements during the session in different disciplines. She also congratulated the academic-winners for their achievements. The school staff was also honoured by the management for their distinguishing efforts put in by them, for the school. She further announced the names A1 holders & the winners of Cultural trophy & Academic trophy.   

Awarding the prizes to the winners, Dr. PushkarVohra  said, “I am delighted to see the school students moving towards the development of the country through their outputs in academic, sports & cultural activities. The programme presented today is the portrayal of the complex issues being confronted on the national & international front. Here not only the problems have been shown, but the suggestive measures to sort out the problems have also been given simultaneously. Really the philosophy suggested through this Annual function can make the survival without any hitch. ” 

Congratulating the students, S. Charanjit Singh Channi, Chairman, CT Group of Institutions said, “I am proud of my students and my faculty, whose hard work is instrumental in bringing about such a wonderful result. Undoubtedly, this is a result of scientific approach, extended inputs on part of faculty and the desire to excel on a continuous basis. We wish to see the overall development of the students. In order to ensure this we provide the facilities, opportunities, infrastructure & training to the students.”     Finally the event concluded with serving of a delicious lunch to guests, parents & students.

CT Public School Organizes Folk Dance Competition

CT Public School organized Folk Dance Competition under the aegis of Sahodaya Independent Schools. As many as 22 schools participated in this competition. The Chief Guest on the occasion was S. Charanjit Singh Channi, Chairman CT Group of Institutions and Mr. Manoj Kumar, Group Director also graced the occasion. It was a wonderful competition in which the students performed beautiful folk dances of various states. The teams comprising of eight to ten students were garbed in colourful attires and performed with grace and elegance. The parameters for judgment were costumes, synchronization and props used by the teams. Kamla Nehru School, Phagwara bagged the first position, CT Public School, Jalandhar was second while Shiv Jyoti School, Jalandhar was third. Cambridge International School for Girls, Jalandhar got the Consolation Prize.  Mrs. Ranjana Rajput, Principal, CT Public School congratulated the winning teams and their teachers. In her presidential address she said that the Indian folk dances were losing their importance as western culture was creeping into the Indian society due to globalization and it is the responsibility of the young generation to restore it.

CTPS ORGANISES ANNUAL ATHLETIC MEET

CT Public School organized its Annual Athletic Meet in its premises from 29th to 31st October with a spirit of sports to embody a combination of qualities such as fairness, courtesy, generosity, grace and decency i.e. sportsmanship. The school was bubbling with activity and excitement as CT Sportspersons entered the playfield of CT Public School with a fervor and determination to win.  The opening ceremony began with the lighting of the torch. The torch was borne by the sportsperson won laurels for the school at the State and National levels. A wonderful march past took place of the four houses. The participants marched elegantly and smartly before the Chief Guest, Mr Charanjit Singh Channi, Chairman, CT Group of Institutions, Dr. Harpreet Singh, Director, Maqsudan Campus. The Annual Athletic Meet was declared open by the Chief Guest with the release of the colourful balloons.

Much zest and jubilation was witnessed on the 1st day when the participants qualified in the heats. The   students were categorized into three groups-sub junior (classes IV, V &VI), junior (classes VII, VIII & IX) and senior (classes X, XI & XII). There were numerous track and field events like 100 mts. , 200mtrs. 800 mtrs. , 1500 mtrs., long jump , Shot Put, Triple Jump, and Relay Races. The sports persons inflamed with a spirit of sportsmanship and gusto tried their best to excel in their events.

The Athletic Meet came to a close on 31st October with the distribution of the prizes to the top notches. The best athlete in sub- junior category was bagged by Manjinder Singh (boys) and Simranjit Kaur (girls) . In the junior category, Karan Multani (boys) and Simran Dhaliwal (girls) were declared as the best athletes. Similarly in the senior category, Vijay Singh and Lakhwinder Singh (jointly, boys) and Simranjit Kaur (girls) were declared as the best athletes. The sports trophy was bagged by Marigold House as it stood first with 299 points followed by Jasmine House with 274 points. Rose House stood third with 224 points. After the declaration of the results, the bugle was played and the four house captains folded the school flag and handed it to the School Sports Captain Shubham. The School Flag was then handed over to Principal, Mrs. Ranjana Rajput. The Chief Guest dispensed the medals to the winners and honoured the Sports Department and the House In charges. Mrs. Ranjana Rajput, Principal, CT Public School, in her valedictory message congratulated the winners and thanked the teachers for their great efforts in the successful culmination of the Sports Meet.
