Students earnestly contributed in Science Carnival “Vigyan Uday’ organized by CT Group of Institutions in which 1800 students from different 40 schools of Punjab gathered. The carnival was dedicated to Late Dr. APJ Abdul Kalam and was based on ‘Knowledge is Power’ theme. Students presented different science models depicting the solutions of various domestic and environmental problems.

CT Institute of Engineering, Management & Technology (CTIEMT) bagged the overall trophy of IK Gujral Punjab Technical University (IKG PTU) Zonal Youth Festival 2015 for North Zone while the first Runners-up trophy of the youth fest was won by DAV Institute of Engineering, Management & technology (DAVIET). Giddha and International Group Dances stole the show on the last day of the Youth Festival on October 18, 2015 at CT Group of Institutions, Shahpur Campus.
The concluding day witnessed the vibrant performances in Western Solo, Western Group Song, Giddha, International Group Dance and the final prize distribution function of the youth fest. This year, the theme of the festival is Make in India while it is dedicated to Martyr S. Kartar Singh Sarabha. The festival had 27 different types of competitions throughout three days. In the fest 815 students from 15 colleges participated including Sant Baba Bhag Singh Institute of Engineering & Technology (SBBSIET), CT Institute of Technology (CTIT), CT Institute of Engineering, Management & Technology (CTIEMT), Baba Farid College of Engineering & Technology (BFCET), Dav Institute of Engineering & Technology (DAVIET), Giani Zail Singh College of Engineering & Technology (GZSCET), Rayat Bahra Institute of Engineering & Technology (RBIET) and many more.
S. Pargat Singh (MLA, Jalandhar Cantonment) was the chief guest for the day. He appreciated IKG PTU and CT Group of Institutions for organizing the youth festival successfully. He congratulated the management of the Institutions for providing wonderful assistance to the university in hosting this mega event at their campus.
In his address, S. Pargat Singh said participation by the students in such youth festivals is very important and students must participate in extra-curricular activities as it provided a proper platform to showcase their talent. S. Charanjit Singh Channi (Chairman, CT Group of Institutions), Mr. Manbir Singh (Managing Director, CT Group of Institutions) and Mr. Harpreet Singh (Vice Chairman, CT Group of Institutions) felicitated S. Pargat Singh (MLA, Jalandhar Cantonment) and other dignitaries for gracing the event with their presence.
S. Charanjit Singh Channi (Chairman, CT Group of Institutions) appreciated and thanked the participating colleges across the North Zone for thundering and note worthy performances. He also expressed his warm greeting to all teams and inspired them to learn and achieve more in their life.
Euphoria and jubilation reflected on the victorious Jalandhar Under – 19 cricket team for having carved a niche for themselves for lifting the Champions Trophy at the State level tournament organized by Punjab School Education Board in Ludhiana. All the districts from Punjab took part in this tournament. The Jalandhar team paved the path to the finals after defeating Barnala, Fazilka, Ferozepur, and Patiala.
The Jalandhar team became champions for the second time in a row after defeating the Patiala team in the finals. Eleven CT Public School players were a part of this unbeatable team. In the finals, Jalandhar won the toss and decided to bat and scored174 runs in 25 overs. Damandeep Singh was successful in making 75 runs and Gourav Choudhary scored 29 unbeaten runs. In their reply, Patiala team was bundled out on 89 runs in 18 overs only. Damandeep Singh and Nimish Dhawan took three wickets each while Dimple Badhan seized two wickets. The Chairman of CT Group of Institutions, Mr. Charanjit Singh Channi and the Management congratulated the team and the coach Mr. Vikas Chadha for their stupendous performance at the state Level.
Oct 12, 2015It was a moment of great pride for CT Public School to host the prestigious Sahodaya Basketball Championship 2015-16. The tournament began on 6th October and concluded on 8th October. A number of schools under Sahodaya Independent Schools from Jalandhar and other cities took part in the tournament. A total number of 24 boys' teams and 10 girls' teams participated in this tournament.
The Sahodaya Basketball Tournament was inaugurated by the Principal Mrs. Ranjana Rajput and Vice- Principal Mr.Gurteg Singh Saini. The opening match was between State Public School and Apeejay School, Mahavir Marg. Apeejay School won the match with a lead of 20 points. The second match was between IVY World and Seth Hukum Chand Public School. In the second match IVY World is leading.

It was all about opening streets to people, sharing resources, transforming communities. There was cycling, body yoga, body aerobics, body zumba. Infinite bhangra on Live Dhol, Rug of War, Open DJ, Badminton, Rope Skipping, Soccer and Karate were main attractions of the day.

It was a moment of pride and jubilations for CT Public School, when it clinched the title of District Champions after defeating their close opponents in the Under-14 and Under-17 cricket tournaments. There were 16 zones which qualified for the district tournaments.In the Under - 14 tournament, CT Public School defeated Labhu Ram Doaba Senior Secondary School in the finals. The school team scored 72 runs in 10 overs. Zidaan Harris scored 19 runs while Raghav scored 25. The opposite team was all out at 32.
In remembrance of a great teacher, educationist and philosopher Dr Sarvepalli Radhakrishnan, CT Public school conducted an activity in which the students virtually saw the interaction of our revered PM, Shri Narendra Modi with the students. This online screening was provided to the children so that they could get an opportunity to learn from the Hon'ble Prime Minister's interaction with the students. The concept of reaching out to the future generation is highly commendable. our PM has a great vision with a mission. He emphasized on all the basic things. If every child will think in his positive level, then the country will march ahead with its head held high and where all the dreary and dirty habits of the people in the country will be erased. The students of CT Public School enjoyed the visual and gained a lot of knowledge. They took a pledge to follow the path and the vision shown by our great PM.

It was a proud moment for the students of CT Public School who appeared for the prestigious National Astronomy Olympiad conducted by NASA on 12th August 2015. 114 students from classes 1st to 10th put in their best efforts and tried their luck in the examination that was held at the school level. Paramvir Singh of Std VIII and Gurvansh Khosla of Std 1st clinched gold medals with outstanding performance. Suryansh Sharma of Std 2nd and Navneet Kaur of Std VIII bagged silver medals for their wonderful result while 23 students received bronze medals for their excellent achievement.
These students have qualified for the National Level Exam. The Chairman of CT Group of Institutions Mr.Charanjit Singh Channi and the Principal Mrs. Ranjana Rajput congratulated the winners and wished them success for future ventures.
Under 14, we are Winners with 3 Selections for District Level. Under 17, we are 3rd with 1 Selection for District Level.

Gaiety and patriotism marked the 68th Independence Day of India to express the feelings of unity and secularism as the tiny tots of CT Public School participated in the celebration of the National festival.
The programme commenced with the unfurling of the Tri colour Flag by the Chief Guest S. Charanjit Singh Channi, Chairman, CT of Institutions.The students presented a melange of patriotic activities which created an atmosphere of pride and love for the country. The programme was interspersed with music and patriotic songs and poems which created an aura of nationalism among the students. It was a rich learning experience for the children who cherished the values of freedom and patriotism.
Inter House Mime Competition was held in our school on August 14, 2015 in which two houses participated in a group. Lotus & Marigold House emerged as winners.

CT sports stars created a niche for themselves and won kudos by making a mark in the PSEB Lawn Tennis Championship held on 12th and 13th August. It was a glorious moment for the Under-19 boys team of the school when it emerged as champion in the PSEB District Lawn Tennis Tournament held at Cambridge International School, Jalandhar. The girls too exhibited their forte by chasing the winning team close at neck and lifted the Runners -Up trophy in the Under-17 women's category which was held at Mayor World. The matches were very exciting and the teams were trained by the lawn tennis coach, Miss Bhavna who had been entrusted with the responsibility to groom their skills. It was indeed a memorable moment for these CTians who brought home the winning trophy. The Principal, Mrs.Ranjana Rajput congratulated the coach and the teams for their successful endeavour and inspired the other children also to participate in games and keep themselves progressive.
