In the fast track of modern life man has become so mechanical and selfish in his thoughts and actions that he has no time to enjoy the bounties of nature. As a result many festivals associated with the colourful seasons have become redundant and forgotten and have taken a back seat. However, festivals should be celebrated as they bring life to exuberance and enthusiasm. Celebrating festivals brings brotherhood and harmony in society and can be interpreted as a good time to bring everyone together in symphony and gratitude.
CT Public School took the initiative to connect the young generation with their tradition and culture. The teachers told the students about the importance of various forgotten festivals especially TEEJ.
The Teej festival celebrates the bounty of nature, arrival of clouds and rain, greenery and birds with social activity, rituals and customs. This festival was celebrated by the teachers of CT Public School with great fervour and enthusiasm. They invited Class IV staff members to be a part of this colourful festival.
A series of vibrant cultural items were presented which pronounced the onset of Saavan. The teachers, all garbed in beautiful traditional attires enhanced the essence of the festival which was marked with folk songs, dances and interesting games. Mrs. Rajwinder crowned with Mrs. Teej Title.
Mrs. Parminder Kaur Channi, Co-Chairperson, CT Group of Institutions and Mrs. Tanika Channi, Treasurer, CT Group; were the Guests of Honour on this great festive occasion.
A beautifully decorated swing was hung to exhibit the religious and cultural emotions and happiness. Mrs Suman Rana, Principal, presented a token of love to the Chief Guest as a mark of gratitude, after which the teachers treated themselves to a lavish lunch.
May a happy bright star always light your path.
Just live it out to the fullest and have fun!
Age hasn’t spoiled you a bit!

Jul 17, 2016CT Public School believes in imparting wide knowledge to the students and helps them to understand beyond their books. Around 50 students were taken for an educational trip to Jalandhar’s Pholriwal Water Treatment Plant to give them first-hand knowledge about the importance of water and how it is purified. They learnt that the processed water was being used for irrigation and construction of buildings.
Water is a precious gift from God and the hub of life on this planet. It is indispensable for human health and well-being; there can be no life on Earth without water. In fact, the human body is composed of 70% water. However, due to modernization, water is polluted to a great extent. The water level is rapidly going down and the little water that is available is unfit for consumption as the selfish human beings are dumping the home and factory waste into it.
Therefore, the same water can harm your body if not purified. Unfiltered water contains chlorine, fluoride, dioxins, parasites, etc. those could be hazardous to your health. . A number of water borne diseases like diarrheal disease, Hepatitis A, Cholera, Botulism, Typhoid, Dysentry kill thousands of people all over the world.
To be clean, water should undergo a number of treatments necessary to make it drinkable. The team from CT Public School learnt about the causes of water pollution and how it could be treated for consumption and also pledged to save water.
