A seminar on 'Traffic Rules ' was organised at CT Public School in which officials from Traffic Police apprised school bus drivers and conductors of traffic rules to be followed while picking up and dropping students besides other safety instructions.

CTians Bag Position in Quiz and Essay Competition

Bharat Vikas Parishad organised a Quiz Competition in Gulmohar School in which the students of CT Public School participated. Amanveer Singh and Priyanka Sharma of class VIII bagged the second position in the junior category while Navneet Kaur and Esha Sharma of grade IX bagged  the third position.In the Hindi Essay Competition Nikita Seth bagged the second position. The Principal Mrs Suman Rana and Vice Principal Mr Gurteg Singh Saini congratulated the winners for their wonderful performance.

Diwali celebrations with Apahaj Ashram

Mrs. Parminder Kaur Channi, Co – Chairperson, CT Group; paid a visit to the Apahaj Ashram . She was accompanied by little Aryana as well. She donated an LED, bedsheets, clothes & eatables to the inmates there.
Students of the CT Group also took part in this initiative.Mr. Tarsem Kapur, Chairman, Apahaj Ashram thanked her & said that the CT Group is always a great help to them.Mrs. Channi said that the CT Group always tries to help the neglected people of the society.

Special Assembly for Diwali Celebrations

Diwali was celebrated with great fervour and devotion in CT Public School. A special assembly was conducted to mark the occasion. Shreya Thakur, delivered a speech on the importance of Diwali.

Sikhs celebrate " Bandi Chhor Divas " to mark the release of Guru Hargobind, the 6th Sikh Guru, from prison. Diwali is a favourite festival of the young and the old and everybody looks forward to it.

 

                                        

Avni Arora mesmerized the audience with her beautiful dance performance. The students took a pledge to celebrate eco-friendly Diwali and not to make use of crackers. The Principal Mrs. Suman Rana congratulated the students and staff on the joyous occasion and stressed on the importance of eco- friendly Diwali.

The Chairman of CT Group of Institutions, Mr. Charanjit Singh Channi congratulated everyone on this festive occasion and treated the staff members to a grand & lavish lunch. Mrs. Parminder Kaur Channi, Co-Chairperson & Ms. Tanika Singh, Treasurer, CT Group; distributed lavish gifts to the sub-staff of CTPS.

On this auspicious day, Ms. Tanika exhorted the staff members of CTPS to work in unison for a committed, educated & dignified society as a whole. She said that just like a lamp lights a lamp, we all must spread divine knowledge everywhere.

Visit to Prayas School

In keeping with our CSR initiatives, Mrs. Tanika Singh, Treasurer [ CT Group ] paid a visit to Prayas School. Little Aryana also accompanied her.

On behalf of the CT Group, she gifted a Geyser, a Weighing Machine, Ceiling Fans & eatables to the inmates. The children of Prayas School were thrilled to meet her. She interacted with all the kids & the faculty.

 

Mr. Ravinder Kumar & Mrs. Veena Rani of Prayas School thanked the CT Group profusely & said that CT always pays special attention to them. Mrs. Tanika said that the CT Group always tries to help the deprived & desolate people of the society.

Dussehra Celebrations

Dussehra is one of the major Hindu festivals of India. It is celebrated throughout the country with great zeal and enthusiasm. People all over the country participate in this occasion in their own way. It is the day when Lord Rama killed the ten headed demon king Ravana and gave the throne of his kingdom Lanka to his brother Vibhishana. Since that day, Vijaya Dashmi is considered to be auspicious and festive by the people of India and is celebrated as the day that symbolizes the victory of the Good over Evil.

In CT Public School the Dussehra festival was celebrated with great devotion and fervor. A special assembly was conducted to mark the occasion. A speech was delivered by Suhani Arora of grade IV in which she told the students about the significance of Dussehra. Little children attired in the costumes of Lord Rama and Sita attracted the audience. An effigy of the demon king Ravana was also put up. Principal Mrs Suman Rana and Vice Principal Mr Gurteg Singh Saini congratulated the students and teachers on the occasion and gave the message that ‘Truth Always Triumphs’ and that the students should always follow the path of righteousness.

II Position in Vigyan Uday

 


As the famous saying goes “If you trust the winner within you, you will win. If you can keep your coverage you will go so far. If you follow your ambitions, your course will guide you towards a ladder that you can climb to your stars. CTians  have conquered every battle that comes their way, grabbing every opportunity that knocks their door & never case to get the name of school written in Golden letters. Keeping the same spirit, CTians  took part in Vigyan Uday Competition  held at CT Group of Institution, Shahpur Campus and grab II Position.

Winners of U-19 Cricket Tournament

The Under -19 District Cricket Tournament was held at Sain Dass School from 5th - 7th October 2016 in which 16 zones participated. Zone 3 represented  by CT Public School emerged as champions by defeating their opponents of zone 5 represented by Labhu Ram Doaba Senior Secondary School. In a tough match played by the finalists,

CT Public School won the toss and decided to bat first. In a wonderfully played innings CT Public School managed to score 125 runs in 10 overs. Manthan was able to score 56 runs while Azam Khan contributed 30 runs to the team. In reply, Labhu Ram Doaba  Senior Secondary School was bundled out in 54 runs. The fielders of CTPS also displayed exemplary performance. Parmeshwar took 3 wickets, while Karan Rajput and Jashneev Bajaj took 2 wickets each.The winning team was applauded for their performance and was awarded a trophy by the Chief Guest Mr Gurdeep Singh Thakkar, Secretary of District Tournaments Committee. Principal Mrs Suman Rana and Vice Principal Mr Gurteg Singh Saini congratulated the team and their coach Mr VIkas Chadha for their wonderful performance and impelled all the students to participate in sports for their general well being.

CTPS Celebrates Gandhi Jayanti

 A special assembly was conducted in CT Public School on the pretext of Gandhi Jayanti. A student presented a speech on the life and work of Mahatma Gandhi and his role in gaining Independence from the shackles of the British. Mrs Neetu Seth also told the children about the teachings of Gandhiji .Mrs Minakshi Buddhiraja presented a lecture on the framing of the Constitution.

Our revered Prime Minister had  launched the Swach Bharat Abhiyan on 2nd October 2014 in which he urged the people to keep their surroundings clean and advised the people not to defecate in the open. Therefore the children observed this day and made collages and posters on “Clean India Green India” and the students of grade XI and XII made models on how to keep the environment clean. Principal Mrs Suman  Rana advised the children to follow the teachings of Gandhiji . Vice Principal Mr Gurteg Singh Saini also motivated the children to follow simple living and adopt the values and teachings of Mahatma Gandhi.

CT Celebrates Hindi Diwas

A special assembly was conducted in CT Public School to observe Hindi Diwas.

On 14th September 1949 Hindi was adopted as the Official Language of the Union of India. Later in 1950, the Constitution of India declared Hindi in the Devanagari script as the Official language of India. Hindi is one of the main languages of India and is spoken by around 40% of the Indian population.

 

Hindi takes pride in being the mother tongue of 180 million people and the second language of 300 million people. Mahatma Gandhi used Hindi to unite India and hence the language is also known as the “Language of Unity”.

14th September is now recognized as Hindi Diwas and is celebrated every year. The students of grade I recited a Hindi poem. Anshu Yadav of grade II also recited a Hindi poem on water.

Mrs Neetu Seth, Head of the Hindi Department told the children about the importance of Hindi Diwas.

Teacher's Day Celebrations

On account of Teacher's Day, the students of CT Public School expressed their love and gratitude to their teachers by conducting a special assembly. The school choir presented a melodious group song. The students of grade XII enthralled the audience with their dance performance. Himanshu and Dhimanshu mesmerised the spectators with a duet while Tejsv entertained everyone with his rhapsody.  The students of grade XI and XII impersonated as teachers and delivered lectures  assigned for the day. The senior students were divided into three groups.
 
 
 
The first group had to manage classes from grade VII to X. The second group had to look after classes IV to VI while the third group had to take care of classes I to III. These students were adjudged for their class control, confidence and teaching. In the first group,Sarah of grade XII stood first, while Mani of grade XI was second while Davinder Singh of grade XII was third. In the second group, Sourabh of grade X was first while Ankit of XI and Himanshu of grade XII were second and third respectively.  In the third group, Harpreet Kaur of XII was first while the second position was shared by Harjinder and Karanjit of XI . These students were awarded appreciation certificates. 
5th September is also celebrated as International Day of Charity. On this occasion, the teachers contributed money and bought fruits and gifts for the children of Prayas School, an NGO which caters to the needs of special children. This small gesture by CT Public School brought a smile on the faces of the inmates. Later the teachers had a small get together and a wonderful day.

II Position in National Group Song Competition

The students of CT Public School participated in Hindi and Sanskrit Group Song Competition organised by Bharat Vikas Parishad at Guru Nanak Library, Jalandhar. The music team consisting of nine participants competed with eleven schools . The competition was very tough, however the students bagged the second position in both the categories.



The Principal Mrs. Suman Rana and the Vice Principal Mr. Gurteg Singh Saini congratulated the team and their mentors Mrs. Kiran and Mr. Harsimar Singh for their stupendous performance and motivated them to reach higher goals.

CTians brings laurels to the school

The students of CT Public School excel in every field, be it academics, sports or co-curricular activities. The children partake in various in-house or inter-school activities organised round the year.
 
Our students excelled in the Tech-Fest organised by Apeejay College and brought laurels to the school. Mohit Chaudhary bagged second position in On The Spot Painting Competition. Ananya Sachdeva and Navdeep Kaur got consolation prize in Power Point Presentation, while Yukta Mayor and Muskan got second position in Collage Making Competition. The Management of CT Public School applauded the efforts of the winners and motivated all the students to participate in various activities and showcase their talents.

JANAMASHTMI CELEBRATED IN CT KINDERGARTEN

Janmashtami commemorates the birth anniversary of Lord Krishna. It is on this auspicious day that Lord Krishna made an advent towards His earthly abode, to shower his blessings on humankind as well as to eradicate any form of evils dominating the land. His divine advent onto this earth truly made things merrier and happier. Love seemed to prevail everywhere and among everyone. The tiny tots of CT Kindergarten venerated the auspicious festival of Janamashtmi by garbing in colourful traditional outfits of the ‘Gopis’ and ‘Krishna’ and enchanted everyone with their charm and innocence. 

 

 

Little Krishna and Radha looked adorable in their colourful costumes and the entire kindergarten was transformed into a land of joy, mirth and celebration. The function was inaugurated by Mrs Parminder Kaur Channi, Co-Chairperson, CT Group of Institutions. Aarav presented a welcome speech. The little children masquerading as Lord Krishna, Radha and little ‘Gopis’, enthralled the audience with their beautiful dances. A group of girls and boys along with the Chief Guest were thrilled to break the ‘handis’ on the feet tapping musical background. The audience too enjoyed the show. Later they were given sweets in their classrooms. 

This festival taught them to be friendly and also the value of sharing. Later everyone took turns to rock the baby Krishna to sleep in a beautifully decorated cradle. The Principal Mrs. Suman Rana and Vice Principal Mr Gurteg Singh Saini along with the Kindergarten In charge, Mrs Neena Sethi congratulated everyone on the occasion and inspired them to follow the teachings of Lord Krishna.

Seminar on Chinese Strings

Keeping in view the sensitivity of the matter after Chinese kite strings claimed six lives in the National Capital, a seminar was organised on CT Public School campus on Monday. Teacher’s emphasis was laid on making the students vigilant against the use of the string. They urged the students and others to create awareness among the public and urge them, especially youngsters, to revert to traditional and indigenously prepared 'manjha dor' for flying kites. This manja is made of metallic/nylon yarn with an abrasive coat of crushed glass gummed on to it making it razor sharp and non-biodegradable. This frenzy leads to the discovery of killer Chinese manja.

CT Public School Clinches Gold

A State level Karate Championship was held in Kullu, Himachal Pradesh on 14th August in which Prateek Shinde clinched a gold medal and brought kudos to the school. There were around twelve schools from various districts of Himachal Pradesh and he defeated all and won great applause by the spectators for his wonderful performance. 

Prateek Shinde has bagged various other prestigious awards, like a colour belt in the 48 kg weight category and secured the first position in Kumite Event in January. He also bagged a gold medal in the Kick Light event and bagged a bronze medal in light contact event. He has inspired many students to join karate for self defence. 
 

 

Mr. Manbir Singh, MD of CT Group congratulated the budding sportsperson for his singular & stupendous performance and wished him well for his future endeavors.
