CT Public School organized a pool party for the students and mothers of grade I -IV on 9th June to beat the heat. The chief guest on the occasion was Mrs. Parminder Kaur Channi, Co-Chairperson, CT Group and Mrs Tanika Channi, Treasurer.
Inspite of the surge of the blazing sun,it was a grand event where the children enjoyed and had great fun in the swimming pool, splash pools and played many water games. There was dance and music and one minute games where the students, mothers and teachers freaked out and reveled. They relished snacks and had a good day out.
CT Public School flaunts of Rehat, a little girl of 3rd grade who brought laurels to the school by bagging 1 gold,3 silvers and 1 bronze and an Over - All Championship Trophy in the individual and relay events in the District Swimming Championship held in Faridkot.
Rehat was the youngest contestant among the 23 participants from Jalandhar team. Her coach Mr Sunil Kumar trained her to excel in the competition.
Principal Mrs. Suman Rana and Vice Principal Mr Virinder Singh congratulated Rehat and her coach and urged all the students to take up swimming as it is not fun only but is a good all-round activity because it helps to build endurance, muscle strength and cardio vascular fitness and helps to maintain healthy heart and lungs .

World No Tobacco Day was observed in CT Public School on 31st May to warn the people against the harmful effects of tobacco. The students made wrist bands and presented it to the people in the locality to give up the habit of smoking as it is harmful not only to the smokers but also to the ones who are in their proximity as they become victims of passive smoking.They also made face painting highlighting the harmful effects of tobacco consumption. World No Tobacco Day is celebrated around the world every year on May 31. This yearly celebration informs the public on the dangers of using tobacco, the business practices of tobacco companies, what WHO is doing to fight the tobacco epidemic, and what people around the world can do to claim their right to health and healthy living and to protect future generations. CT Public School took up this mammoth task on their shoulders to fight this deadly menace which is gnawing at the vitals of our society.
It is widely recognized that people depend on the natural environment for a variety of benefits to their well being. These dependencies encompass access to a range of ecosystem services, from utilizing basic resources for living - clean water, food, fertile soil- to interactions with nature that affirm and enrich our place in the world - places to recreate, play and take wonder in life. The destruction of unprotected forests, loss of soils, and depletion of aquifers, extinction of animals and plants and plunder of the oceans has continued apace.
CT Public School took up an initiative to safeguard the environment by observing Environment Day. The students made posters portraying the world they live in and the bounties enjoyed by them. They encouraged people to make their nearby surroundings safe and clean to enjoy safer, cleaner and a more prosperous future. They also cautioned the people about the hazardous effects of environment degradation and gave suggestions on how to conserve the nature.
May 30, 2017A heartwarming congratulation to the XII students of CT Public School for exhibiting commendable performance in the All India Senior Secondary Examination (CBSE) The school has performed exceptionally well and has seen an increase in pass rates both overall and in individual subjects from the past years. 110 students appeared in the Class XII CBSE Board exams.
These results reaffirm the status of CT Public School as one of the highest performing schools in the area and in the wider state.
In the Science stream, Rashi bagged the first position by scoring 95.8%, Srishti Gupta 89.8 % and Manika Bawa got 84.8 % the highest marks.
In Commerce stream, Swati Gupta stood first by securing 94.8 % marks. Aditi stood second in the stream with 90.6% and Rupakshi and Simran Arora stood third with 85.4 % marks.
In Humanities stream, Manisha Gorawara stood first by securing 89.2 % marks. Bhoomi stood second in the stream with 84.2 % and Pardeep Kaur stood third with 70.6 % marks.

I scream, you scream, we all scream for ICE CREAM!
The delicious frozen treat is a favourite with the youngsters. The Management of CT Group tickled the taste buds of the primary students of CT Public School by throwing an ice cream party for them. This benevolent gesture was extended to the kids to quash the sizzling heat of the summers. The kids relished different flavours of ice-creams. The happiness and excitement on their faces was worth noticing. "It gives immense pleasure to see the happy faces of the little kids," said Mrs. Parminder Kaur Channi, Co-Chairperson, CT Group.
The Investiture ceremony marks a significant beginning of the new academic session and is a platform to showcase the leadership skills and abilities of our students.The Investiture ceremony of CT Public School for the session 2017-18 was held on 13th May 2017 where the newly elected Council members were all prepared to don the mantle of leadership and discharge the responsibilities entrusted upon them by the school.
At 9 a.m., the dignitaries Mr. Charanjit Singh Channi, Chairman CT Group, Principal Mrs. Suman Rana and Vice Principal Mr. Virinder Singh were escorted by a ceremonial band to the venue of the Investiture ceremony. After the badge pinning ceremony, the ceremonial lighting of the lamp took place.
The ceremony was held with lots of enthusiasm and gusto. It was initiated with a motivational song by our students. The students had been nominated by the House In-charges on the basis of their discipline, academic performance and behavior in order to be role models for their fellow mates. They had to face an interview to be selected for the various designations. Our newly elected student council took an oath in front of the whole school to be true to their posts and duties assigned to them.
The following students formed the Students Council:
Ishanika has been selected as the General Secretary. Ankit is selected the Head Boy while the School Head Girl is Abhirattan Kaur. Ansh Sharma has been elected as the School Vice Head Boy while Sharanjit Kaur has been chosen as the School Vice Head Girl. The Activity Captain (Boys) is Gurkanwaljot Singh and the Activity Captain (Girls) is Simranjit Kaur. Raghav and Shweta have been elected as School Sports Captain (Boys / Girls). Unnat Bhalla and Harneet have been chosen as the Discipline Captains.
Apart from these, there were House designations and Hostel designations too.
The House Captain of Mother Teresa House is Paramvir Singh and the Vice Captain is Joyna. The House Captain of Kalpana Chawla House is Jatin and Vice Captain is Sripriya. Ganeev has been selected as the captain of Dr. A.P.J.Abdul Kalam House while the Vice Captain is Gulkeerat. Navneet Kaur and Priyanka Sharma have been chosen as the Captain and Vice Captain respectively.
The Hostel designations are as follows:
Hostel Head Boy is Geetansh, Head Girl is Mandeep Kaur. The Sports Captain (Boys) is Saahil Thakur while the Sports Captain (Girls) is Karandeep Kaur.
The CT Kindergarten also selected their Prefectural board . Divyanyansh Raj has been selected as the Haed Boy while Aseem Kaur has been selected as the Head Girl. Vice Head Boy is Bhavin Kumar while Avneet kaur has been nominated as the Vice Head Girl.
The newly elected student council took an oath in front of the whole school to be steadfast on the trust that had been reposed in them and to execute their duties assigned to them with diligence and precision.
Mr. Charanjit Singh Channi inducted the students to their posts and inspired them to be good leaders. In his address he said that leadership is based on inspiration not domination; on cooperation, not intimidation. Great leaders don’t set out to be a leader; they set out to make a difference. The quality of a leader is reflected in the standards they set for themselves.Leadership is unlocking people's potential to become better.
The Principal and Vice Principal congratulated the new student council, their parents and teachers and motivated them to move on the path of righteousness.
May 13, 2017Cancer Awareness Programme was organized in CT Public School to enlighten the children about this deadly disease. The programme was headed by Mr. Gurdeep Singh, representative of Cancer Aid Society, an NGO working strenuously for the past 28 years to combat this noxious this disease.
Mr. Gurdeep Singh acquainted the students that there were two types of cancer i.e. benign cancer and malignant cancer. Benign cancer is safe while malignant cancer can be cured if detected at the first stage. He also advised the students to keep a check on the symptoms of cancer and approach the doctor immediately if any symptom is recognized. He told the students that the intake of alcohol and tobacco have an adverse effect on health and give a head start to this fatal disease.
He also advocated that the children should eat a sumptuous and balanced diet and refrain from the consumption of junk foods and cold drinks in order to remain healthy. He requested the children to join hands with this society to spread awareness among the masses to eliminate this disease and work for a healthy nation.
Principal Mrs. Suman Rana also advised the students to take healthy and nutritious food and avoid fast foods.
The teeny weenies of CT Kindergarten exhibited their gratitude for their mothers by celebrating Mother’s Day on 2nd May. The Chief Guest on the occasion was Mrs. Parminder Kaur Channi, Co-Chairperson CT Group. The function began with a warm welcome of the lovely mothers. Divyansh Raj, a student of U.K.G. welcomed the guests with his speech followed by a poem recitation ‘Tu Pyari Maa’ by Nursery students.
The students of L.K.G. enthralled the audience with their play based on the values given by mothers. They emphasized on the importance of a mother in our lives and they should respect and obey her always. The U.K.G. students made their mark on the day and mesmerized the audience with their presentation by presenting a tapping number. The students reiterated their love to their mothers and expressed their gratitude to them. The Wing Incharge Mrs Neena Sethi presented the valediction.

Rashi Singh of CT Public School brought name and fame to her Alma- mater by cracking the JEE Main. An all-rounder in school, Rashi had been a pro-active student in her school career. She took part in innumerable activities like Poetry Recitation, Declamation Contests, Painting Competitions, Face Painting etc.and always came out with flying colours. She was the General Secretary of the Student's Council of the school from 2016-17 and discharged her duties well.
An activity was conducted on the occasion of World Malaria Day. Ms Amandeep Kaur apprised the students about Malaria and the harmful effects of this disease which is caused by female anopheles mosquitos.This disease can be prevented by keeping the surroundings clean. The students were informed about the symptoms of this disease like sensation of cold and shivering,fever, headaches and vomiting. The students were familiarised with the precautions from this disease. They were advised to use mosquitos repellents at night. They were also cautioned to stay in well-screened areas and keep their bodies covered. The students promised to spread the message to keep the neighbourhood clean in order to live a healthy life and to keep diseases at bay.

An array of activities were conducted at CT Public School. Teachers educated the students about environmental degradation, conservation of water and other natural resources. It was a great day to showcase environmental education, highlight efforts to green the school and engage the whole student community in making a difference.
Speaking on the occasion Principal, Mrs. Suman Rana said ‘The Earth Day celebration offers opportunities to both teach about the issue and make a tangible environmental impact. She said ‘Together we can make everyday Earth Day and each one of us in the school can make a difference’.
