My Vision-Corruption free India

vigilance awareness week, 2017 on the theme “My vision-Corruption free India’ was observed in our school on 3.11.2017. All the teachers and the students took Integrity pledge for corruption free India in order to bring integrity and transparency in all spheres of their activities.

CTians Visit NASA

46 students along with 5 teachers of CT Public School took a great stride to fly to NASA, Kennedy Space Centre, Orlando, USA from 24th to 31st October where they got an insight to experiential leaning. They took cognizance of the working of space shuttles and telescopes and the world of planets,stars and other galaxies. They envisaged the famous Atlantis Shuttle and saw its components and comprehended its working. The students were privileged to interact with the first space astronaut of USA, Mr.Norman Thagard. It was a lifetime experience for them as this tour gave them an opportunity to become global citizens and develop a scientific temper.
 
 
The students also went to Disney world and Universal studio in Florida and got a whiff of thrill and excitement on the mind blowing roller coasters and other rides.
The children had a wonderful exposure to the world outside India and were able to meet and interact with people belonging to different cultures. As most of them had boarded an aircraft for the first time, it was one of the most fantabulous episode  of their life.

Workshops for the students

Department of CSE and ME, CTITR has organized a seminar cum workshop on Robotic Designing and Product Designing for the students of our school.  In this event, hundreds of students have participated and enhanced their skills.  They have shown very keen interest in the session and cleared many queries of theirs which was quite appreciable. In the session basic designing of robotic and jewellery were discussed, the expertise of these field have shown their own work to the students and they were quite motivated by their work and lecture. Dr Jasdeep K Dhami said that the motive behind these workshops is to inculcate the skills amongst students so that they may earn while learn.

Diwali Celebrations

The festival of lights, Diwali was celebrated with great fervour and devotion in CT Public School today. The students decorated lamps and candles and made beautiful dwar-bandhans and decorated their classes. Beautiful Rangolis were made by the students to mark the occasion. The students took a pledge to celebrate eco-friendly Diwali and not to make extravagant use of crackers. They were advised to stick to eco-friendly crackers made from recyclable paper and use limited crackers that emit less smoke. They were also urged to use natural organic colours, flowers or cereals for making the Rangolis instead of chemical colours that are rampantly available in the market. The Chairman of CT Group of Institutions, Mr Charanjit Singh Channi and Principal Mrs Suman Rana congratulated the students and staff on the joyous occasion.

Winners of Mega Event- VIGYAN UDAY

CT Public School bagged the overall trophy of Science Carnival: Vigyan Uday. As many as 2300 students from different 70 schools of Punjab gathered in the Mega Science Carnival. The carnival was based on ‘Digital India’ theme. Students presented different science models depicting various technological aspects. Striving to fulfill the underlying aim to inculcate scientific temperament among students beyond the boundaries of classrooms, CT Group of Institutions organized the Mega Science Carnival ‘Vigyan Uday 2017’ . CT Public School bagged the overall trophy of Science Carnival: Vigyan Uday. The winning team was awarded with the prize money of Rs 21,000. As many as 2300 students from different 70 schools of Punjab gathered at the event. It was based on ‘Digital India’ theme. The carnival included number of events like Young Mathematician Contest, Young Scientist Contest, On the Spot Programming Contest, Quiz, Kabaad se Jugaad, Life Science & Health, Energy Conversation, Antriksh Vigyaan, Life Science & health, Art in Science and others in which more than 700 students participated .

International day of Girl Child celebrations

International Day of the Girl Child was celebrated with full zeal and zest in our school.It is celebrated to promote the girls position in the society to make their living better among society people. It is very necessary to remove different types of social discrimination and exploitation that girls generally face in their life. To increase the awareness about the necessity of the girls right in the society, various political and community leaders speech to the public about the girls right for the equal education and fundamental freedoms.

Boarders, who are staying away from home, miss their families a lot. In order to remove their homesickness, CT hostel always create a congenial atmosphere for their boarders to provide homely feeling. Birthdays celebrated in CT Hostel become living memories which are always treasured by the boarders all their lives. Birthday Party was organised in the Hostel in which there was a get-together and boarders cut the birthday cake and enjoyed a lavish dinner

Dusehra celebrations

The students of CT Public School  celebrated Dusehra in the school campus with great fervour and devotion.Effigies of Ravana, Kumbhkaran and Meghnath were made . Tiny tots of  CT Kindergarten  impersonated as Lord Rama, Lakshman and Sita  . They set aflame the effigies thus symbolising the victory of truth over evil and spread cheer all around.  Principal, Mrs. Suman Rana congratulated the staff and students on the occasion   and  inspired the students to tread on the path of righteousness as truth always triumphs.

CT PUBLIC SCHOOL TO USE INDIAN PRODUCTS

 The students of CT Public School participated in a workshop organised by Sarvhitkari Shiksha Samiti in which the students pledged to make India a super power and refrain from using Chinese goods. They vowed to use products made by the Indians and show respect to Indian commodities.



As China continues to play truant on the border of Sikkim, shrill calls for the boycott of China made goods is getting louder solely because India's most powerful weapon against China is trade. India is a gigantic market for Chinese products and over the years, import of goods from China has increased manifold.

Embedded with the feelings of nationalism, the students of CT Public School joined in this movement to support Indian goods.

CTPS OBSERVES WORLD PEACE DAY

The International Day of Peace ("Peace Day") is observed around the world each year on 21st September. Established in 1981 by unanimous United Nations resolution, Peace Day provides a globally shared date for all humanity to commit to Peace above all differences and to contribute to building a Culture of Peace.

 

 

 

In compliance with the UN, CT Public School also observed as International Day of Peace. Mrs. Parminder Kaur Channi, Co-Chairperson, CT Group released doves to commemorate the special occasion. She urged the students to practice tolerance and live in peace and harmony with each other. Principal Mrs Suman Rana quoted Albert Einstein’s words that “Peace cannot be kept by force; it can only be achieved by understanding." She prayed that people should solve their differences through peaceful understanding instead of violence activities and may peace prevail in the world.

“Work hard in silence, let the success make the noise.” Our unbeatable CTians proved their fortitude in Science Project Making Competition which was held by Uttam Hindu on the topic Environment Conservation. We won Third Prize with cash prize of Rs. 2100. Congratulations to the winners.

Swachh Pakhwada Celebration Week

On account of Swachh Bharat Mission initiated by our revered Prime Minister Hon’ble Mr. Narendra   Modi, CT Public School has actively participated in various programmes organised from time to time. The school has taken the responsibility of extending support to the movement by creating civic sense and values among the students regarding awareness among the student about the importance of a hygienic environment to live and grow.

New dustbins were installed in classes, canteen, assembly ground, wash room s and playgrounds. The children were advised to throw litter in them and keep their school spic and span.

 

 

 

 

Mrs. Kuljit  Kaur conducted a workshop for the students whereby they were apprised about personal hygiene like washing hands after answering nature’s call  and before and after taking meals. She informed them about the adverse effect of negligence towards cleanliness.

The students made posters emphasising the importance of a clean environment by observing World Environment Day. The students pledged to make their environment clean and beautiful by not throwing waste paper, plastics and polythene around and also desist from the use of polythene. 

World Malaria Day was observed by the school in which Principal Mrs. Suman Rana accentuated the need to keep the school campus and homes free from mosquitoes which breed in dirty and damp places, clogged and uncovered drains as every year many precious lives succumb to these deadly mosquitoes.

The students pledged to keep themselves and their surroundings clean and also educate their friends about the importance of cleanliness as Cleanliness is Next to Godliness.

Hindi Divas Celebrations

The Hindi department of CT Public School observed Hindi Diwas on 14th September with great reverence.

The students designed posters and students of classes’ I-V framed slogans emphasizing on the importance of Hindi while the students of grade VI-X wrote poems and quotes of great writers accentuating the importance of Hindi.

 

 

Principal, Mrs Suman Rana informed the students that Hindi was adopted as the Official Language of the Union of India. Later in 1950, the Constitution of India declared Hindi in the Devanagari script as the Official language of India. She said that Hindi is one of the main languages of India and is spoken by around 40% of the Indian population. Hindi takes pride in being the mother tongue of 180 million people and the second language of 300 million people. She also asserted that the children should be adept in Hindi, English and their mother tongue and should give equal regard to all the languages.

CT Swimmers Bring Accolades to School

The Swimming team under the guidance of the coach Mr Sunil Kumar won laurels for the school with its exemplary performance in the North Zone II Championship held at Montessori Cambridge School, Pathankot. 

The Chief Guest on the occasion was Mr. Amit Vij, MLA Pathankot. Mr. Vikas Chadha was also present as CBSE Observer. 

A team of six students  participated in the competition held from 8th to10th September in which more than 100 schools from North Zone II participated.

Rehat Batth bagged a gold medal in 200 metres with a time span of 3.36 seconds. She also attracted the audience by attaining the first position in the 50 metres butterfly stroke and a bronze medal in 50 metres back stroke in 44 and 47.28 seconds respectively. 
 

In the under-14 category, Gurnoor Kaur secured a silver medal in 100 metres  in 1:33:15 seconds. She was also successful in acquiring a gold medal in 50 metres breast stroke in 41:94 seconds and a bronze medal in 100 metres butterfly stroke in just 1:29 seconds.

The Management of CT Group and Principal Mrs. Suman Rana applauded the commendable performance of the swimming team and coach and blessed them for their future ventures.

International Digital Literacy Day celebrated in our school

CT Public School celebrated Digital Literacy today. It is basically a set of competencies required for full participation in a knowledgeable society. It includes knowledge, skills and behaviours involving the effective use of digital devices such as smartphones, tablets, laptops and desktop PCs for purposes of communication, expression, collaboration and advocacy.

 

 

Computer literacy focuses on practical skills in using software application packages. Principal Mrs. Suman Rana said that the school provides the students opportunities to help the students to communicate and learn through a plethora of ways . The students sharpen their analytical thinking and interpret through digital devices .
