Leaders are not born but are made by their experience in life. Keeping up with this thought, CT Public School held its Investiture ceremony in the school campus with great pomp and dignity. The ceremony marked a significant beginning of the new academic session. It was a solemn occasion where the young students were all prepared to flourish the responsibility of leadership and discharge the responsibilities entrusted upon them by the school.
S. Charanjit Singh Channi, Chairman, CT Group and Mrs. Suman Rana, Principal were escorted by a ceremonial band to the venue of the Investiture ceremony. After the badge pinning ceremony, the ceremonial lighting of the lamp took place. The ceremony was held with lots of enthusiasm and gusto which was initiated with a motivational song by the students. Donning the mantle of accountability, the office bearers pledged to fulfill their duties to the best of their abilities.
The newly appointed cabinet includes Charu Verma as General Secretary, Divyansh Singh as Head Boy, Simranjeet Kaur as Head Girl, Paramvir Singh as Vice Head Boy, Muskandeep Kaur as Vice Head Girl, Sarabjit Singh and Anmol as Sports Captains and Tarish and Ganeev as Dicipline Captains. Whereas from Juniors, Krish Sehdev was designated with the charge of Head Boy, Suhani Arora as Head Girl.
Principal Mrs. Suman Rana appreciated and congratulated all the office bearers. She advised them to be role models and extended a supporting hand to the student’s council for the smooth running of the school.
S. Charanjit Singh Channi, Chairman inducted the students to their posts and inspired them to be good leaders. In his address he said that leadership is based on inspiration not domination; on cooperation, not intimidation. Great leaders don’t set out to be a leader; they set out to make a difference.
The function concluded with the National Anthem.
May 17, 2018“Good Dining manners are just a way of showing other people that we have respect for food”. Keeping the same in mind, CT Institute of Hotel Management organized a one day workshop on ‘Dining Etiquettes’ in which 150 students from CT Public School and CT World School were taught about different dinning etiquettes that should be followed while eating food through a meal eating session. In this workshop, the students were made to eat soup, pasta, rice along with curry and dessert using different cutlery and crockery.

CTPS organized a session on how to deal with exam stress and improve learning. Ms. Amrit Kalsi, Manager Trainings, the resource person addressed the students of classes XI and XII and gave them handy tips to dissipate stress and manage anxiety. Students were encouraged to deal with stress positively, recognize the causes, take steps to deal with the root of the problem and tackle it.

Beauty is the realm of the poetry. The children enjoy the beauty of expression, thoughts, feelings, rhythm and music of words. Taking all these facts into consideration, CT Public School gave an opportunity to students to exhibit their talent and confidence by organizing Inter-House Poetry Recitation Competition for classes VI-VIII on 5th may, 2018. The children chose a variety of poems on social evils and recited them with zeal and enthusiasm.

Defence especially for girls is of utmost Importance in the kind of the world we live in today. In our country where the cases of gender violence are on rise, self defence for girls has become necessity more than ever. Keeping in mind the safety of school going girls, Our school conducted a self defence session for girls studying in classes VI-XII.
Mr. Rajan and Mr. Jaswant, team from “Parindey” were the resource persons who taught the girls various techniques to defend themselves and to escape situations which threaten their safety. They assured that these strategies will cultivate in girls the ability to remain alert yet calm at all times and not to feel helpless in any situation.
The Principal of the school, Mrs. Suman Rana appreciated this training programme and said that there is hope that this move will help inculcate self confidence in school going girls and make them aware of the techniques to be adopted under different adverse circumstances and learn several ways to physically fight for the attacker.
The Managing director of the school, Mr. Manbir singh presented the resource persons a token of gratitude and emphasized the need of self defence for girls and said that it is a useful means to empower them. He concluded the session by saying, ‘self defence is not just a set of techniques, it’s a state of mind and it begins with the belief that you are worth defending.’
Apr 27, 2018On 23rd April CT Kindergarten organized Welcome party for the children. The children were given a warm welcome so that they are energized for the new session. The children were dressed in western attire. They had modeling session on the western music. After the dance party children had lunch in their respective classes. Over all it was a fun filled activity for the children.
Apr 24, 2018Earth day was celebrated on 20th April, 2018 at CT Public School in the school premises. It was a great day to share environmental education and highlight efforts to Go Green by engaging the students in making a difference. The celebration started with a special assembly related to environmental issues. The children participated in various creative activities like speech, poster making, paper bag making, etc. The students and staff members took pledge during the occasion that they would keep surroundings clean and take care of the Mother Earth. The Principal, Mrs. Suman Rana in her address reminded the children of their responsibilities towards Mother Earth and their duty to protect and save our natural resources.

The Earth Day activity was organized with thrill and fervor in the premises of CT Kindergarten to make the children aware of protecting their Mother Earth. The Kindergarten students were involved in different activities depicting Earth day in their scrapbooks. They also planted saplings and seeds and ensured that they are tended carefully. This activity inculcated in them a sense of belongingness towards their ecosystem.
The Principal Mrs. Suman Rana and KG In-charge, Mrs. Neena Sethi appreciated the efforts of young toddlers and added that we all should save our mother earth from the increasing environmental degradation.

Colours are indeed the smile of nature Red colour symbolizes enthusiasm, life and vitality. ‘Red Colour Week’ was celebrated in the Nursery wing at CT Public School, with thrill and enthusiasm. The little ones spent a spectacular red day, looking stunning in their red outfits. A special assembly was conducted with emphasis on the significance of red colour. The nursery wing was adorned with all red items like balloons, heart, toys and pictures. The tiny tots along with their teachers actively participated in cooking without fire activity by preparing bread and jam. Overall the celebration was a fabulous way of learning colours.

Exam fear is a very common phenomenon among many students and it has a disastrous effect no doubt. To remove this fear and make exams an enjoyable task rather than a scaring one CT Public school organized a session for students of Class (VI-XII) ‘Mighty Mind’ on 19th april,2018, in which experts Mr. Raj Shekhar and Mr. Pratap gave ideas and tips to the students reduce exam anxiety and get rid of phobia and stress of education. They guided the students to learn their syllabus with interesting methods. They introduced a range of techniques to help manage test anxiety and also recommended ways to improve their study skills. The Principal of the school, Mrs. Suman Rana advised the students to focus on the present moment, while calmly acknowledging and accepting their anxious feelings thoughts and physical reactions.

An activity was conducted in CT Public School on 23rd March to observe Martyrdom Day. The children learnt about the heroes of the nation and how they laid their lives to free their motherland from the shackles of the British rule. The children were told about Shaheed Bhagat Singh, Rajguru and Sukhdev who in their prime youth had developed great patriotism for their country. Our young generation has a great deal to learn from them.

International Women’s day was observed in CT Public School to celebrate womanhood and to pay tribute to their indomitable spirit to empower the country to tread on the path of progress. As said by Muhammad Ali Jinnah, ‘No nation can rise to the height of glory unless women are side by side with you’.
The need of the hour is to empower women with social, political and economic rights. There should be respect and dignity towards women. Women should feel safe in and out of their homes. They should have total independence of their life and should be allowed to make their own decisions and have great respect in society.
The ladies staff of CT Public School sent a message across to the society that 'Women are the real architects of the society'.
Mar 8, 2018The students of CT Public School celebrated Holi-the festival of colours, with flowers. Mrs. Parminder Kaur Channi, Co-Chairperson CT Group, played Holi with the students and told them about the significance of this festival which was the victory of good over evil, the arrival of spring and end of winter.
It was also a festive day to meet others, play and laugh, forget and forgive, and repair broken relationships. She advised the children about the harmful effects of synthetic /chemical colours and said that they should play Holi with natural colurs. Playing with flowers was a novel way to celebrate this festive occasion. She congratulated and blessed everyone on this occasion.
