CT PLAYERS BRING LAURELS TO THE ALMA MATER

“Excellence is the result of always striving to do better”.
With an aim to encourage maximum student participation and promote healthy competition,CT Public School participated in the Inter Schol Lawn Tennis 2019 tournament hosted by IVY School,Jalandhar.
The first day of the tournament commenced from 6th February,2019.The Principal of the host school inaugurated the opening matches to boost the confidence of 40 participating teams from 25 different schools of the district.
Rightly said,”Great players are not great because of their technique,they are  great because of their passion.”The students of CT brought laurels to the alma mater and astounded everyone through their commendable performance thereby securing runners up position under 19,Girls category.The players of the team were-Tinisha -8B,Jiya Wadhwa_8B and Tarandeep Kaur-8A.
 
 
The management of school and the Principal,Mr. Daljeet Rana congratulated the students and appreciated their magnificent performance.It was heartening to see our young players standing proudly,wearing medals and holding their certificates.

The Vice Principal,Ms.Sukhdeep Kaur applauded the players and their coaches for their consistent hard work and arduous efforts.

STRESS MANAGEMENT AND CAREER COUNSELLING SESSION FOR CT STUDENTS

 “It is not stress that kills us, it is our reaction to it.”

With an objective to provide proper career guidance and the ways to overcome exam stress and anxiety,a session on stress management and career counselling was organised at CT Public School on 16 February,2019.

The students of grades 10 and 12 participated in it. Aiming to guide the students on how to retrieve themselves from stress,in order to excel in the fields chosen by them the  session was addressed by motivational speaker,Mr.Daljeet Singh,the principal of school.He enlightened the students about various stress related problems and techniques to successfully deal with them.He trained the students to tackle exam stress with positive attitude.He also focused on all available career options,courses and new age careers.
 
 
 
The  Vice Principal,Ms.Sukhdeep Kaur and the counselling  unit of CT group emphasised on the stress relaxation and stress management techniques.
The  Managing Director,Mr.Manbir Singh said that the aim of such sessions is to give the students complete knowledge so as to facilitate them in making effective career choices.

POSITIVE PARENTING WORKSHOP

“A parent is a teacher at home and a teacher is a parent at school and the child is the centre of our universe.”
 
CT Public School organised a workshop on positive parenting for parents and students of kindergarten.The workshop was conducted by the Principal of school ,Mr.Daljeet Singh.The aim behind the workshop was to guide the parents how to deal with their kids, to motivate them , to give them quality time and to involve them in useful and productive activities. Emphasis was laid on imparting life skills, value education,restricting the usage of mobiles and internet , importance of money,outdoor games and insisting the kids to watch motivational videos.
 
 
 
The  Principal interacted with the parents and invited their suggestions for the betterment of kids and the institute.The Management of school said that the school will continue to hold such workshops to motivate the parents to create a positive family atmosphere and to effectively meet upto any parenting challengei in modern world.

CT PAYS HOMEAGE TO CRPF MARTYRS

“The tyrant dies and his rule is over,the martyr dies and his rule begins”
44 CRPF Jawans attained martyrdom on 14th February,2019 when a convoy in which they were travelling was attacked by the terrorists near Awantipora on the Srinagar Jammu Highway.The management,Principal,sraff and students of CT Public School paid a glowing tribute to the departed souls.A special assembly was conducted to instil among the students the respect for sacrifices and gallant efforts made by the soldiers for the pride and honour of nation. A two minute silence was observed by the entire school to pay homage to the real valentines of the nation.
 
Patriotic songs reflecting the relentless efforts of the jawans reverberated in the assembly. The soul stirring and motivational song,”E mere watan ke logo” was sung with passion.
The Principal,Mr.Daljeet Singh stated,”A nation that does not honour its heroes will not long endure.”The efforts of these patriots would go a long way in shaping the character and future and kindle the spirit of pride and gallantry among students. He also said that education is the only  key to lasting peace and to eradication of terrorism.
Let’s all get united to eradicate the menace of terrorism from the country.

CTPS students paint wall on Women Empowerment under SmartCityCampaign

Under Smart City Compaign of Municipal Corporation Jalandhar, the students of CT Public School have beautifully painted a wall of BMC Chowk Flyover, opposite MBD Mall, on Women Empowerment Theme. The students painted wall of a flyover with four different messages. The message depicts the women to speak for their right and equality, for equal status in society and their right to education. Students painted the wall under the guidance of artist Dharampal of CT Group. The Managing Director of CT Group, Mr. Manbir Singh said,” This is quite wonderful initiative taken by MC authorities and radio for making city smart and CT is proud to collaborate with them for meaningful things.”

Birthday celebrations of Principal Sir

“There are two great days in a person’s life – the day we are born and the day we discover why.”

The school celebrated the birthday of our beloved Principal, Mr. Daljeet Singh. The Managing Director of CT Group of Institutions, Mr. Manbir Singh marked his presence and congratulated the Principal & Mr. Vikas Chadha, HOD Sports Department (who had birthday on the same day). The staff of the school surprised the principal with a delicious cake. It was a joyful occasion where all came together to greet and wish the principal. The Principal addressed, “CTPS is my family now and let us all work together as one big family, helping each other in flying the banner of CT Public School to the nation.”

Basant Panchmi Celebrations

“Basant Panchmi” is an occasion which marks the advent of the spring season and is also celebrated to worship Saraswati, the Goddess of knowledge and wisdom. This day was celebrated in our school with great fervour and enthusiasm.Yellow colour – representative of spiritual knowledge, is given importance on basant panchmi.

 

 

The children of the pre – primary wing came dressed in yellow clothes, offered yellow colored flowers to the Goddess and also brought yellow colored food in their tiffins. The cheerful faces were all excited to learn the kite flying and remained successful under the proper guidance of the teachers. The chairman of CT Group, S. Charanjit Singh Channi marked the occasion by flying kites with the students of the school.The students were quite happy to commemorate this occasion with him.

Demonstration of Fire extinguishers to the students

“Big or Small,Fire Safety is for All.”

“We cannot stop natural disasters but we can arm ourselves with knowledge so many lives wouldn’t have to be lost if there was enough disaster preparedness.”

Through various safeguards and campaigns,CT Public School strives to make its students and teachers aware and up to date.In continuation with the exercise to create awareness among the students about disaster management,a mock drill was conducted on 6th February,2019 for grades 6th to 10th in the assembly area of the school.
The speaker on the occasion was Mr.Bhupinder Singh,a fire safety counsellor.He shared simple and easy to follow safety tips,explained the functioning of a fire extinguisher and spoke of the DO’S and DONT’S regarding possibilities of fire.Some students were even called on to operate the fire extinguishers independently.
The Principal,Mr.Daljeet Singh spoke on the need to practice safeguards to prevent occurence of incidents that can be life threatening and warned the students not to panic but respond swiftly in times of emergency. The Vice Principal,Ms.Sukhdeep Kaur delivered a safety talk and gave some first aid tips and demonstrations to students.

RUKHSAT-2019

“I cannot say goodbye to those whom I have grown to love,fot the memories we have made will last a lifetime and will never know a goodbye.”

Filled with curiosity and zeal, the students,staff and management of the school gathered to bid farewell to the outgoing class 12, batch 2019 on Saturday,February2,2019.The evening was a fiesta devoted to the years spent together with friends and teachers and to reminisce joyous moments.
A cultural presentation staged by the students of class 11 had a mix of scintillating dance performances,entertaining theatre,melodious songs,pulsating music and thought provoking speeches which were full of feelings and emotions for their departing seniors.
Many interesting and tricky games were played to pep up the environment.Modelling was the highlight of the event followed by musical chair and newspaper dance.The students were given titles according to their personality and traits. Following Titles were given to the students:-

The Pariksha Pe Charcha or Dialogue over Examinations

 
Prime Minister,Narendra Modi interacted with students from all over the world to discuss some serious issues like the stress of good scores,depression in students,how to score well in exams,managing life away from home and role of parents and teachers in a child’s life.
CT Public School made arrangements in the audio visual lab of the school to present the prime minister’s speech to the students so that they could find ways to cut off depression from their lives.Parents and teachers were advised to communicate with children to fight against depression.Emphasis was laid on regular conversation with children as well as their routine counselling.
The children were told not to compare themselves to others and never to do anything under pressure.A child should always be clear in his thoughts.Parents and teachers shold always appreciate the efforts of the students. The school should conduct exams as they are never bad but the aim should be acquiring knowledge and not marks.
 
 
 
The school authorities highly acknowledged the Pariksha Pe Charcha interactive session of PM with the children and promised to focus on stress free examinations.
The Principal of school,Mr.Daljeet Singh suggested the teachers,students and parents to take care in improving the education system of the country and never force the children to fulfill their parents unfulfilled dreams.The vice principal ,Ms.Sukhdeep kaur motivated the students to act upon the PM’s advice and mark a difference in their lives.

Jalandharites experience Happiness Carnival at CT Public School.

Such carnivals that spread happiness and moral values must be organized on regular basis: DC Varinder Sharma.

CT Public School organises carnival with a difference. It was a bright day full of colors, smiles and happiness at CT Public School. It was an occasion of Happiness Carnival- a carnival with a difference in which thousands of people of all age groups gathered and experienced various activities of happiness. The Chief Guest for the occasion remained Deputy Commissioner Varinder Kumar Sharma. He was accompanied by management members namely Charanjit S Channi, Chairman, Co-chairperson Parminder Kaur Channi, Managing Director, Manbir Singh, Vice Chairman Harpreet Singh, Tanika Singh and Seerat Singh .

Lohri Celebrations in CT School

Lohri was celebrated at CT Public School, with a lot of zeal and enthusiasm. The mood on the campus was upbeat and the students were totally absorbed in the festive spirit of Lohri. A special assembly was conducted in which Grade 5 sang a very melodious song immersed in rich cultural folklore of Punjab.To add fun, students enacted on the story of ‘Dhulla Bhatti wala’ and also performed gidha, the folk dance of Punjab.

The Vice-Principal of the school, Mrs. Sukhdeep Kaur joined them with the hope that the coming year would bring happiness in the lives of the students and teachers as well. She emphasized that Lohri festival prompts people to be thankful for God’s provision and also encouraged teachers to play a vital role to keep the tradition and culture alive in our festivities.

Sports Day

The junior sports day of CT Publis School was held on 19 December,2018 in the sprawling and lush green environment of school with much fervour and passion.The chief guests for the event were the co chairperson of school ,Ms.Parminder kaur Channi and Ms. Tanika Channi.
 
 
The highlights of the sports day were drill,track races,50m, 80m and 100m ,relay races and sprint races for both boys and girls of classes 1st to 3rd.The players enthralled the audience with their fun filled races.The most intriguing aspect embellishing the event was the splendid field displays involving mass student participation which splattered on the field,a riot of hues and vibrance based on the theme of sports.
 
 
 
The Tug of War between the male and female teachers saw an active participation. The guests were delighted to see the large number of young children participating enthusiastically.They appreciated the efforts of the participants and said that we all learn more outside the class through the medium of sports which  is like a rejuvenating therapy for all .

The Vice Principal of school ,Ms. Sukhdeep Kaur gave away medals  and certificates to the winners for their achievements and endeavours.

CTPS has been basking in glory after an exceptional achievement in sports. Our budding players have set a benchmark by bagging medals and prizes in District & North Zone Swimming Championship.
The Principal of the school, Mrs. Poonam Gobind Ram congratulated the winners. She said that she was proud of them as they had brought laurels to the school. She wished them good luck for their future endeavours.

JCI Painting Competition was held at Desh Bhagat Yadgar Hall in which different schools from Jalandhar participated with full enthusiasm. It is a matter of great pride that Khushi of Grade 3 got II position and lovleen of Grade 2 got Consolation prize in First Category of the competition. Principal, Mrs. Poonam Gobind Ram congratulated the winners for their stupendous performance.

Knot the Necktie

Learning to knot necktie is a tricky fine motor skill for children,but with patience and practice, teachers as well as parents can teach them to knot their own neckties. Fun filled activity was conducted in Morning Assembly today in which teachers compete for tying the knot of necktie in one minute. Now, students are geared up for upcoming Intra Class Knot the Tie Competition.
