“Education that helps young people develop life skills has transformative potential.”
Recognizing the pivotal role of teachers in ensuring child-centered learning and holistic child development, a workshop on ‘Life Skills’ was organized at CT Public School, Jalandhar by Mr.A.P.Singh ,Principal,Rayat Bahra,on 8July,2019. Around 60 staff members attended the workshop.
The session focused on how life skills need to be practiced, imbibed and lived more than being just taught. The definition of life skills and their importance in our lives was discussed.
The development of ‘Life-Skills’ to enhance the students’ thinking skills, social skills and emotional skills was highly emphasized during the workshop. The Resource person guided the teachers to be the harbingers of change and exhorted them to integrate life-skills with other subjects. The session was made interesting by incorporating games to convey the concepts. In this way, the teachers were familiarized with the life skills through various activities. With a mix of audio-visual aids, role plays, reflections and discussions, it opened up minds to look at themselves in a different perspective and gear up for the change. The teachers too articulated their difficulties and were assisted by the resource person to cope up with the same.
Mr.Daljeet Rana ,the Principal expressed gratitude to Mr.A.P.Singh with his generous words of appreciation. He further, prompted all teaching fraternity to think beyond the syllabus in order to teach and make ‘Life Skills’ a regular classroom practice. The Vice Principal,Mrs.Sukhdeep Kaur also encouraged the staff to cascade their learning to create ripple effect in the lives of others.“

Kayra , a dynamic student of CT Public School studying in Grade II participated in dance competition 'Dance Ka Dum' held at Delhi and bagged 2nd Position and awarded with cash prize of Rs. 100000.

An essay writing competition was organized on the occasion of the 108th birthday of renowned educationist, Late Shri Harishchandra Nistandra Shastri on 28th June.
About 152 students of classes XI & XII from various schools participated in this Hindi essay writing competition where they expressed their views and acumen on the topic, "Bharat Vishwa Guru Kaise Bane". The children expounded their perspective and flaunted the rich culture, tradition,values, ethics and teachings of the great philosophers and thinkers of India which could be a guiding light for the people all over the world to follow. India Abhimanyu Singh, a grade XI student of CT Public School bagged the consolation prize which comprised of cash and a certificate.

Yoga is an ancient Indian discipline, which was evolved for physical and spiritual well-being of humankind. CT Public School celebrated International Yoga Day with the enthusiastic and vigorous participation of students. Children of all age groups participated in this event. They were taught about the essence of yoga exercises on the health of individuals and thereafter, held a long practice session with demonstration of asanas. The participants were enlightened with immense health benefits of yoga. It not only helps in improving physical health but also brings about inner peace by reducing stress and anxiety.
Principal Mr.Daljeet Rana and Vice Principal Ms. Sukdeep Kaur urged the students to make yoga as a part of their daily life as it helps them to realise their full inner potential. They also notified students some normal physical activities linked with elimination of stress.

Naman Sharma, a student of CT Public School brought laurels to the school by bagging 3114 rank in the All India JEE Advanced/ Mains 2019.
In the XII CBSE exams, Naman Sharma secured 94 percent and now he exhibited his valor in the prestigious JEE Advanced.

Jun 13, 2019The cricketers of CT Public School showcased an outstanding performance in the CT T-20 Cricket Tournament held at CT Group of Institutions, Shahpur Campus from 2nd June to 9th June and emerged Champions. 16 teams from different places of the region participated in this tournament and tried to prove their mettle with their performance.
CT Public School played exceptionally well and quashed the opponents. The finalists of the tournament were CT Public School and MCC Jalandhar whereby CTPS emerged victorious by taking 9 wickets.
Arun Kalia was chosen as the Man of the Match for his exuberant and outstanding performance in the series.Once again CT Public School has proved the *Winners are not born but made through consistent hardwork and their passion and determination to excel and rise above all*.

Counsellor and Training Director, CT Group of Institutions,Ms.Amrit Kalsi initiated the session by presenting a warm welcome to the parents.The session started with a motivational movie,”Jeena Isi ka Naam Hai”,the true picture of the struggles and hardships endured by Channi sir to reach pinnacles of success and earn the status of a renowned educationist.
The session was a valuable chance for the parents and students to discuss and clarify any sort of queries or concerns related to any sphere of life—educational ,personal or professional.The parents felt fully contented and satisfied in getting the solutions to their problems.They were happy that their children were in safe hands.

World No Tobacco Day or Anti Tobacco Day plays a vital role in alarming people about the effects of smoking, chewing tobacco and diseases caused by it like cancer etc.
This day emphasises on the health and other risks associated with tobacco use and advocating for effective policies to reduce tobacco consumption to safeguard our youth from this evil.

CT Kindergarten organised fun time pool party for kids on the last working day before the vacation. The kids were dressed in swimming costumes and had a great time in pool. They enjoyed dance party to the tune of the thrilling songs along with the pool party.Kids had fun sharing their food . This was great time children had in the school.

May 31, 2019CT Public School observed *Shaheedi Gurpurab* by distributing Shabeel i.e, distribution of traditional sherbet which marks the custom of the Sikh community celebrating Shaheedi Gurpurab where Guru Arjun Devji, the fifth Sikh Guru, stood by his convictions and accepted death with grace.
Guru Arjun Dev Ji was made to sit on a burning pan when he refused to embrace Islam and marry a Mughal princess. To help him control the heat, chilled sherbets were served to people where they prayed and participated in a host of religious events.
In order to teach the students about community service, the school organized Shabeel distribution. There was an overwhelming response from the students and teachers who contributed towards the Shabeel. The students and staff stopped the passersby to serve sweetened water to beat the scorching heat. Campus Director Ms. Jasdeep Kaur Dhami, Principal Mr.Daljeet Singh , Vice Principal Ms. Sukhdeep Kaur and Kindergarten In Charge Ms. Neena Sethi were also participated wholeheartedly in this event. Mr. #Daljeet Singh in his message said, “The students should adopt the lessons and values taught by our Gurus and serve the masses wholeheartedly because *Service to mankind is service to God.”
May 31, 2019BETWEEN EVERY TWO PINES IS A DOOR TO A NEW WORLD
Trees are very important for us as they represent life, growth, peace, and nature. Trees provide us with many benefits necessary for survival, including clean air, filtered water, shade, and food. They also give us hope and insight, and courage to persevere – even in the harshest conditions. Trees teach us to stay rooted while soaring to great heights.
Therefore, the students of CT Public School planted trees in collaboration with SRISHTI- THE GREEN SOCIETY AND DAINIK SAVERA. The children were motivated to plant medicinal trees like neem, tulsi, aloevera and mint at homes. Mr. Ireesh Wadhwa from #Srishti- the Green Society said that people can design terrace gardens and enhance the beauty of their homes.
Mrs. Sukhdeep Kaur, Vice Principal along with teachers and students planted ornamental trees in the school. Principal Mr. Daljeet Singh asserted the importance of making our planet green and our role as caretakers of our Mother Earth.

CT Public School participated in Sanskriti Premier League Tennis Ball Cricket Tournament organised at KMV Sanskriti School from 26.5.19 to 30.5.19.It was an U-14 tournament in which as many as 8 schools from Jalandhar participated with full vigour.
It was a thrilling experience to play good cricket with good teams. The cherished moment was when CT walked into the finals by winning the semifinals with a good margin.There is nothing more exciting than playing against the most challenging team.The final match between DarshanAcademy and CT team exhibited good cricket from both the teams with runners up trophy falling into the lap of CT Public School.
The Principal, Mr.Daljeet Rana congratulated the team and its coaches and said that he is grateful to CT management who always aims at sculpting its students into responsible global citizens who constantly strive for perfection in all aspects of their lives.
The Vice Principal,Ms.Sukhdeep Kaur applauded the efforts of the team and said that CT will continue to train its children to achieve perfection.

Jiya Wadhwa, a grade IX student of CT Public School made her Alma Mater proud by winning the Alcon Open Tennis Tournament held at Alcon Tennis Academy, Jalandhar from 26th-29th May. There were around 25 players from all over Punjab who participated in this tennis competition.
In the Under -16 girls category, Jiya bagged the winning title, defeating her opponent in a tough competition by 6-4.
Jiya is a consistent player who not only shows her prowess in games but also her studies as she is able to strike a balance between both and also excels in them.

Open Speed Search Skating Championship was organized by Star Rollar Skating Academy in CT Public School on 25 May 2019. Around 200 participants across Jalandhar, Amritsar, Kapurthala, Phagwara, Batala, Banga and Ajnala participated with great spirit of sportsmanship. It proved to be a great exposure to grow more in the field of roller skating.

International Bio Diversity Day is celebrated on 22nd May to promote causes for sustainable environment.CT Public School has always been a pioneer in creating awareness among masses on the environmental related issues.
With a view to generate awareness on biodiversity issues and help people understand its importance for sustainable development,CT Public School participated in,”INTERNATIONAL BIODIVERSITY DAY—PANEL DISCUSSION ON TRADITIONAL CROP VARIETIES OF PUNJAB”,organised at Science City ,Kapurthala. Various schools across the region participated in the event.The CTians of classes VI —VIII presented a play,a dramatic presentation on Biodiversity related threats and the impact of climatic changes and conservation needs. The presentation reflected school’s concern towards protecting wild life and biodiversity.
The efforts of the children were highly appreciated and applauded.

Officials from JK Tyres visited CT Public School with a motive of spreading awareness among drivers and conductors as they play a vital role in keeping a life safe. Drivers and conductors were made aware about their duties and responsibilities along with traffic rules, transport management and above all the need of presence of mind in case of emergency. It was highly informative and valued session.

With the aim of honing the dancing skills of students, a competition was held in Red Cross hall.The competition started with great zeal and enthusiasm.The vivacious dancers set the floor on fire with their energetic performances .Harshita of CT Public School bagged third position in this competition. The spectators bore witness to the enthusiasm and energy of her as she enthralled everyone with her performance.
Mrs. Parminder Kaur Channi was honoured as the chief guest.
