The festival of lights, Diwali was celebrated with great fervour and devotion in CT Public School today. The students decorated lamps and candles and made beautiful dwar-bandhans and decorated their classes. Beautiful Rangolis were made by the students to mark the occasion. The students took a pledge to celebrate eco-friendly Diwali and not to make extravagant use of crackers. They were advised to stick to eco-friendly crackers made from recyclable paper and use limited crackers that emit less smoke. They were also urged to use natural organic colours, flowers or cereals for making the Rangolis instead of chemical colours that are rampantly available in the market. The Chairman of CT Group of Institutions, Mr Charanjit Singh Channi and Principal Mrs Suman Rana congratulated the students and staff on the joyous occasion.
