The Hindi department of CT Public School observed Hindi Diwas on 14th September with great reverence.
The students designed posters and students of classes’ I-V framed slogans emphasizing on the importance of Hindi while the students of grade VI-X wrote poems and quotes of great writers accentuating the importance of Hindi.
Principal, Mrs Suman Rana informed the students that Hindi was adopted as the Official Language of the Union of India. Later in 1950, the Constitution of India declared Hindi in the Devanagari script as the Official language of India. She said that Hindi is one of the main languages of India and is spoken by around 40% of the Indian population. Hindi takes pride in being the mother tongue of 180 million people and the second language of 300 million people. She also asserted that the children should be adept in Hindi, English and their mother tongue and should give equal regard to all the languages.
