CT Public School celebrated Baisakhi, the festival marking the onset of wheat harvesting with great fervour and enthusiasm. School premises wore a festive look with compound fully decorated with handmade charts. Students were dressed up in colourful Punjabi attire. The day began with a special assembly wherein the students were told about the significance of the harvest festival for the farming community along with the religious as well as the historical importance of the festivals. A cultural presentation of Punjabi Songs with Giddha by students added colour to the celebrations. Thereafter, the CTians enhanced the knowledge by highlighting the life history of Dr Bhim Rao Ambedkar, who drafted the Constitution of India. The aim of this celebration was to bring students closer to the culture and tradition of Punjab.
