Amidst the freezing cold weather, with the temperature wobbling between 0.5 degrees Celsius and the dense fog outside, the students of CT Public School celebrated Lohri — the long awaited bonfire festival with enthusiasm and great fervour.
The function started with a special assembly wherein, the importance of the festival was discussed, thus creating awareness among the students. The students sang Lohri songs and presented Punjabi folk culture.
Mrs. Suman Rana, Principal, threw light on the festival of Lohri and said that the festival marks the victory of good over evil. A bonfire was lit and rewris and groundnuts were distributed among the children.
On this occasion, the Management and staff bid farewell to Mrs. Amita Kochar, a very talented and experienced teacher of Kindergarten. The function concluded with a community lunch.
