Dussehra is one of the major Hindu festivals of India. It is celebrated throughout the country with great zeal and enthusiasm. People all over the country participate in this occasion in their own way. It is the day when Lord Rama killed the ten headed demon king Ravana and gave the throne of his kingdom Lanka to his brother Vibhishana. Since that day, Vijaya Dashmi is considered to be auspicious and festive by the people of India and is celebrated as the day that symbolizes the victory of the Good over Evil.
In CT Public School the Dussehra festival was celebrated with great devotion and fervor. A special assembly was conducted to mark the occasion. A speech was delivered by Suhani Arora of grade IV in which she told the students about the significance of Dussehra. Little children attired in the costumes of Lord Rama and Sita attracted the audience. An effigy of the demon king Ravana was also put up. Principal Mrs Suman Rana and Vice Principal Mr Gurteg Singh Saini congratulated the students and teachers on the occasion and gave the message that ‘Truth Always Triumphs’ and that the students should always follow the path of righteousness.
