CT Public School believes in imparting wide knowledge to the students and helps them to understand beyond their books. Around 50 students were taken for an educational trip to Jalandhar’s Pholriwal Water Treatment Plant to give them first-hand knowledge about the importance of water and how it is purified. They learnt that the processed water was being used for irrigation and construction of buildings.
Water is a precious gift from God and the hub of life on this planet. It is indispensable for human health and well-being; there can be no life on Earth without water. In fact, the human body is composed of 70% water. However, due to modernization, water is polluted to a great extent. The water level is rapidly going down and the little water that is available is unfit for consumption as the selfish human beings are dumping the home and factory waste into it.
Therefore, the same water can harm your body if not purified. Unfiltered water contains chlorine, fluoride, dioxins, parasites, etc. those could be hazardous to your health. . A number of water borne diseases like diarrheal disease, Hepatitis A, Cholera, Botulism, Typhoid, Dysentry kill thousands of people all over the world.
To be clean, water should undergo a number of treatments necessary to make it drinkable. The team from CT Public School learnt about the causes of water pollution and how it could be treated for consumption and also pledged to save water.
