Festivals are characterised by colour, gaiety, enthusiasm, prayers and rituals.’
The Students of CT Public School conducted a special assembly on the occasion of Janamashtami, a festival which commemorates the earthly arrival of Lord Krishna. The assembly began with the recitation of some popular shlokas from the Bhagawad Gita by Ms. Kiran ( HOD Music) and her team.
A melodious bhajan , composed by Kiran Ma'am and sung by the choir, added solemnity to the occasion. The students learned values and ethics like compassion, friendship and righteousness, depicted through the stories of Lord Krishna. The Students presented a prayer depicting life of lord Krishna. They also presented a mesmerising dance performance.
Honourble Principal Ma'am Mrs Anuradha Chandel enlightened the students through her wonderful speech about the importance of respecting and celebrating the diversity of traditions and festivals in our multicultural society.
